This is a stunning soundtrack, haunting , beautiful music.
One of my personal favourites from Bear McCreary .

For those interested, McCreary has done one of his long write-ups for this now: http://www.bearmccreary.com/blog/albums/caprica-series-soundtrack-album/

Is it just me, or does that blog post not allow comments?

So glad it finally got released. I had the great opportunity to speak to Bear briefly about the score and I asked about the isolated score on the French Blu Ray for CAPRICA not realizing I'd hit on something a bit bigger than I realized.

I'd had the pleasure to hear this version of the score but I had noticed some differences and inconsistencies with it. I asked him about it and he said that Universal was actually NOT suppose to be releasing his score that way. None of the mixes had his approval and so were often different or incorrect. He takes his work very seriously, I can say that. And I'm really pleased to finally get this.

I just wanted to let everyone know about the excellent customer service I received from MV and La-La Land. I recently received my order for The Warriors, Blood and Chrome and Caprica, however, when I opened up the package, Caprica was missing. It was mistakenly not shipped. I contacted La-La Land and received a super-fast response from MV. He apologized for the inconvenience and immediately shipped Caprica. Two days later I had my copy, along with a signed booklet from Bear McCreary. What a pleasant and unexpected surprise!

Great service and, of course, wonderful products. My many thanks!

I'm listening to this for the first time now. Looking at the back cover with the track listing I found a curious thing: tracks 09 through 22 from disc 2 are all marked (0:52). Obviously some kind of mistake, as the tracks really vary in length. But I am not complaining, don't need any replacements, am not asking for a refund or anything of that nature. Just pointing out a curiosity.

This was discovered shortly after the album's original release. La-La Land responded to the matter very quickly and shipped the corrected artwork to anyone who asked (or at least I'm assuming it was anyone....). I know you said you don't need a replacement, but I bet they'd send it to you too if you emailed them and asked about it. They may well have some extra copies of the artwork laying around just for such requests.

I'm not sure what the polices are on bumping old threads without having activity for years, but I just wanted to put it out there how much I love the music Bear did to the television series Caprica.

The show was flawed, only lasted a Season but boy am I glad I saw it and fell in love with the music. This guy IMO should be getting the big sorts of blockbuster projects. I have complete belief he will one day be a massive film composer. He's already been getting more mainstream over the years but he has plenty more years to go and so much more music to give the world. I'm excited.
