Very strange (to me) that I haven't come across this before. And strange that after all ALW's successes in the years after, no one has deemed fit to give this a CD release. I may try and hunt down a copy of the LP on Ebay.
I had the LP. A somewhat unremarkable score (and I am a fan), but this does have "Christmas Dream" performed by Perry Como, which is Lloyd Weber at his old school, inventive and melodic best. A German boy's choir chorus to boot and was reportedly huge in Europe.
That said it's the only film score I know of by Lloyd Weber, and so fits the topic nicely.

I watched Term Of Trial (1962) with Laurence Olivier and Simone Signoret the other day and quite liked the effective if minimal score by Jean Michel Damase. Looking him up I see he's still alive at 85 but only composed three film scores.
"Scott of the Antarctic" by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Vaughan Williams scored only a handful of major motion pictures, but this one is superb. It later became his 7th Symphony, "Sinfonia Antartica".

It's magnificent, one of my favourite film scores and symphonies.
...and by association, DAVID BEDFORD who orchestrated this score and whose only other film work was choral director on Morricone's THE MISSION. Bedford did some TV scores but never any more film work.
DAVID WHITAKER is another great composer, non-prolific and very under represented on album, most people would probably know him from his fantasy score for THE SWORD AND THE SORCEROR. Some of us fans are still awaiting a once "promised" release of his superb score for Hammer's DR JECKYL AND SISTER HYDE. One can only hope.
