The actor playing McCoy was the only one I had a hard time accepting. The sets, props and costumes all look fantastic. Getting guest actors from TOS is great. I'll look forward to future episodes.
I get a kick out of Mignogna's voice inflections--VERY Kirk-like. And at the same time he looks sort of like Jack Lord. There's a very nice symmetry to that.
I am still surprised by how this new show is getting so much attention while "Star Trek Phase 2" still goes virtually unknown. They did it first, and they did it very well. They were even able to get a couple of very special guest stars for episodes.
I'm watching Enterprise at the moment, and in one of those episodes an alien ship has a holodeck and according to http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Holodeck there was a holographic technology onboard the ST:TAS Enterprise.
