I think it would be a very very good idea to release the complete score…… wink

I'm trying to think if ANY DreamWorks Records releases have gotten the expanded treatment....

If they (or anybody) releases it, I will most certainly buy it. My favorite Zimmer score.

One of the best Zimmer scores. Could be his finest action score. Love it to death, play it to death. One of my first Zimmer CDs, too. TONS and TONS of awesome music left off the CD, and alternate versions in the film that were re-edited for the CD. The final act NYC nuke chase is f***in EPIC. Just such a fun, fun score, very melodic and thematic with killer electronics and only the finest in deep male chorus chanting a la Crimson Tide.

Would make a terrific companion to the expanded Broken Arrow discs!

Exactly. I, personally, think this is Zimmer at his bombastic peak. The many melodic motifs are refreshing (in light of his more recent motif-less work—some of which I do actually like), as is the deep male chorus and the organised chaotic sequences. The only gripes I have with the commercial release are that it's incomplete, and the audio mastering wasn't as good as it could've been. But hey. I've heard all the music as heard in the film and loved it; I've also mixed the commercial score into a shorter ~30min album and love it. I think I could play it backwards and love it still.

I absolutely agree that it could be his very finest action score. While I love certain parts of his other action scores (including his more recent work with Nolan and others), this one takes the cake.

"Love it to death, play it to death." Well said, sir.

I totally agree! It sure remains a highly enjoyable score even today. The Bosnia and Sarajevo themes in particular blow me away each time they appear in my compilations. I'd wholeheartedly welcome any expanded release for this!

This is absolutely my favorite Zimmer score, and the OST is missing a TON of music! Also Lalaland, if you're listening, the perfect Peacemaker 2 disc set should include the trailer music by Harry Gregson-Williams and any theme suites by Zimmer wink

Harry Gregson-Williams' trailer music is still some of the best trailer music ever written/adapted in my opinion.

I'd buy this score in a heartbeat. While the album is pretty well done on its own, it's missing probably close to half of the score.

I know right, Yor! A complete Peacemaker would be mindblowingly awesome big grin

Anyway, I love The Peacemaker. One of my top 5 Zimmer scores. When I got the original release I was still in high school. I remember that the day at school after I got the score seemed to last a lifetime. I couldn't wait to get home and play this bad boy to death.

It's a shame that I don't have that feeling with Zimmer scores anymore (or almost any scores fo that matter)

So I would buy an expanded version in a heartbeat! Really hope one of the labels will release this one someday

Awesome love for Peacemaker here. Warms me heart.

The 17-minute "Chase," a suite of chase material from the middle chopper/truck nuke chase and the NYC nuke chase, is a relentless masterclass in modern action scoring. Wanna get some exercise? Start playing "Chase" from the beginning. 17 minutes later, stop the cue and you'll be amazed at how fast you ran during that time.

Also awesome that Peacemaker features plenty of woodwind writing, which became outlawed or whatever in action scores by Bruckheimer or whomever for whatever dumbass reason. My point is Peacemaker is a perfect example that woodwinds can kick arse in a propulsive action score written by Hans (or whomever).

I really wouldn't be surprised if a 2cd of this score is in the works.

I never even bought the original Peacemaker soundtrack. Found it too noisy and intense. And I'm a Zimmer fan.

If anyone will release it, I hope they'll include the film version of this cue:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Be7_CV8ORXI

The female voice "sings" different "words". This is probably the best (my favorite) cue missing from the OST as well.

Not including the Peacemaker suite (the last 10 min. track on the OST), which is unused in the film, more than half the score is actually (officially) unreleased.
