A new feature length documentary begins shooting in late July, and continues through August and September, concerning a life involved with classic monster films and classic motion picture music. A portion of the new film will focus on the music of Miklos Rozsa, and will film at the home of the composer's daughter. Post production will continue on through the remaining months of 2013, and the completed documentary should begin screenings at film festivals around the country in early 2014.

Thanks, Preston. I'll look forward to hearing from you. Incidentally, the documentary begins filming in just two weeks at The Monster Bash in Pittsburgh. Filming will continue in Philadelphia in the weeks following the convention, and then culminating in a Los Angeles shoot over the last few days in August. Among those already committed to appearing in the film are Hammer screen actress Veronica Carlson, Juliet Rozsa, film composer Mark McKenzie, and Emmy nominated film and television actor Paul Clemens. Post production and editing will commence in the Fall, with screenings at film festivals around the country in early 2014.

Breaking News late last night...Gifted screen composer and dear friend Lee Holdridge has agreed to appear in the documentary. It should be an exciting shoot.

After months of promotional radio interviews, pre-production and discussion, actual filming of the new documentary begins in earnest this coming Saturday and Sunday, July 20th and 21st, in Mars, Pennsylvania (near Pittsburgh) at The Monster Bash film convention. The camera and sound crew will be in attendance throughout the weekend conducting interviews with Hammer Films actress Veronica Carlson ("Dracula Has Risen From The Grave" and "Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed"), writer/director/actor Mark Redfield, screen director and award winning graphic novel author Robert Tinnell, author and Ray Bradbury authority Terry Pace, the assembled fans and myself. Filming will continue in and around Philadelphia in early August, and then move to Los Angeles during the final days of August. Among those committed to appearing on camera for the Los Angeles "shoot" are Emmy winning film and television composer Lee Holdridge ("East Of Eden," "Beauty & The Beast"), composer Mark McKenzie ("The Greatest Miracle"), Juliet Rozsa (daughter of three time Oscar winning composer Miklos Rozsa), and Emmy nominated actor Paul Clemens ("The Beast Within," "Quincy"). Post production activities will then continue through the remaining months of 2013, with an eye on film festival premieres in early 2014.
