How about some selections to kick-off the 4th. I probably missed a few, but I was really trying to get into some of my SACDs today.

Ives' Holiday Symphony under MTT. Check out the cool informational link at the SFS site.
http://www.keepingscore.org/interactive/ives-holidays-symphony

Ives/Brant Concord Symphony and Copland Organ Symphony under MTT and Paul Jacobs on organ. Great SACD.

Adams' Short Ride in a Fast Machine under MTT. A Grammy winner on SACD.

Hanson's Nos. 1 & 2, Song of Democracy. Hanson conducts. Great SACD.

Barber Complete Songs with Thomas Hampson, Cheryl Studer, and John Browning. Very excellent.

Moross Symphony No. 1 under Joann Falletta. Nice.

Copland Billy the Kid / Grofe Grand Canyon Suite under Morton Gould. A must have SACD.

Sousa and Others under Morton Gould. Brass and Percussion / Doubling Brass. A must have SACD.

Sousa under Fennel. A must have SACD.

Some Leroy Anderson under Fennel. A must have SACD.

Reich Music for 18 Musicians. Performed by a university band. Nice SACD.

Gershwin under Slatkin. One of my favorites. One of the best finales to Rhapsody in Blue - captures the industrial NYC of the time very well.

Ives Nos. 1-4 under Litton and the Dallas SO. Nice SACDs.

Copland conducts Copland with the LSO and William Warfield. A classic. Some of the same selections are on the pictured Sony SACD.

Bernstein Candide / On the Waterfront Sony SACD.

I loaded my car's cd player for the extended holiday weeked on Cape Cod with...

Carter, Symphony no1, Holiday Overture and the Piano Concerto.

Bernstein conducting the third symphonies of Harris, W. Schuman and Copland.

Ives Second Symphony again conducted by Bernstein.

John William's American Journey and...

Shostakovich's Symphony no. 8. (I've been in a Russian mood the past few weeks.)

In reserve, Chadwick's 2nd and 3rd Symphonies along with his Symphonic Sketches.

Nice 6-rack there, Alfa. I enjoy the Chadwick No. 3 as well; I believe I have one on Chandos under Jarvi - probably Neeme. Ives' No. 2 is my favorite for sure. Check out this DG DVD of Bernstein conducting Symphony No. 2 in Germany.

I have the Harris/Schuman/Bernstein CD on DG. That's a great one too. Here it is:

Here is another that you may like w some Russo music under Ozawa:

I mentioned that I was trying to do hi-rez for the 4th, so here are two others that aren't SACDs, but on the MDG Scene label from the EU. Their recordings are very excellent. Anyway, 2 last ones from Morton Feldman that I didn't get to yesterday:

BTW, that Ives' Holiday Symphony I posted is available on BR, and it's in 7.1. It will definitely fill the room. Here is the BR:
