Here is the last post on the John Barry Bond scores:

http://www.filmmusicnotes.com/john-barrys-james-bond-scores-part-6-of-6-barrys-changing-bond-style/

There are so many fascinating things about this music, and I've learned a ton by doing this series of posts. Hope you've enjoyed them as well.

Great material, as usual. I just have one correction to make: From Russia with Love (the song) was actually written by Lionel Bart. John Barry was only allowed to write a title song from Goldfinger onwards.
Your analytical work has been great and much needed inside the film music community. You should consider analyzing Barry's choral scores (The Lion in Winter, The Last Valley). These are perhaps his highest musical accomplishments.

I've also enjoyed looking through your analysis of Barry's Bond music. I'm sure I'll be reading through these articles again in more detail soon. Thanks for posting these and sharing your passion of and insight into these legendary scores.

Let's just hope that egomaniac Monty Norman doesn't start voicing a compliant saying he created the Bond style since he already made his case with the James Bond Theme.
