Does anyone have any updated info on how to combine multiple CD tracks together into one single track in iTunes? I'm currently using iTunes 11.0.3 and am unable to locate the "Join Tracks" utility that use to be very useful feature. It once was located under the "Options" menu and would only show up if two or more tracks were selected to be joined before ripping the songs from a CD, but this option now seems to have been removed completely and is no longer a choice. WTF Apple???

Thanks in advance for a possible answer to this.

This is the best I could find...

Basically they not only hid the feature, but neutered it as well.

iTunes 11 is pretty much a bust overall for me, but I'm so married to it now (all of my smart and nonsmart playlists, library, ratings, playcounts are in iTunes, and my music is all ripped in Apple Lossless) that I can't see myself breaking out of it due to the time it would take to redo everything.

Thanks, mstrox. But, yes, I've already read that article and it doesn't relate to upgraded versions of iTunes that have been released since that article was posted back in Dec 2012. I'm not sure at what point the "Join Tracks" feature disappeared, but it wasn't there in version 11.0.2 and nor was it readdressed or fixed for the current 11.0.3 version.

Completely scratching my head here.

iTunes is crap. But like others, I have invested to much into it to change software programs. With my rant out of the way I think I found your answer. If you have iTunes looking like its new default settings you can access the options you need.

Are there any solid iTunes alternatives for Mac users? PC users seem to have a few good options. But, like many others, I simply have too much invested in it already. The other issue is, for all of it's faults, iTunes does work seemlessly with my other devices. (And of course I need it to sync those, manage the content, etc.)

Not that I am aware of. As messed up as iTunes 11 is, it's still the best software for organizing playlists. I didn't take a chance on reverting to an earlier version of iTunes, but I am refusing any new updates in hopes of stopping any future irreversible changes.
