Which official and original score on cd has the most seperate audio-tracks....Just curious wink!
I know a cd can hold 99 tracks at max (not counting Index cues), are there any scores out there having the full 99 tracks??

Depends on what you mean "score." Are you including alternates and bonus tracks along with this? Some of these multi-disc single-film releases like LLL's Star Trek: TMP or Varese's Spartacus would likely be up there if so.

If not, I'd submit the 2-disc version of Star Wars Episode I, which is 67 tracks not including the bonus track at the end.

I like to know for a score only cd without the extra added bonus features!
My North and Northwest score has " only" 50(!) tracks--http://www.amazon.com/North-By-Northwest-Original-Soundtrack/dp/B0000033L8

The Rhino release of Ben-Hur has 87 tracks on 2 discs.
Moby Dick (Christopher Gordon) has 41 tracks on 1 disc.
Ghost Ship has 39 tracks on 1 disc.

And if we're talking for a single score, Tribute's release of Mysterious Island has 62 tracks on one CD, and 61 tracks are for Mysterious Island (King of the Khyber Rifles is a "bonus track".)

Consider it topped. 75 tracks on one CD.
"Brain from Planet Arous / Teenage Monster"(MMM label). Has two scores, but so does the Kentuckian CD above.

For shear numbers of tracks, some music production library cds max out to 99 tracks on a cd.

I figured that it almost HAD to be a Herrmann score. He tended toward short cues of course.

This one seems to top the cake.

You win man!! 72 tracks unbelievable (this must be the complete score!), I do not count music production library cd's as a soundtrack score.

Um, you know that's not one complete score, but two different movie scores, right?

I also thought 75 was more than 72. Oh well, I guess you and Bill Finn know better.

So the winner for a single score is the re-rec of "Mysterious Island" which Yavar mentioned - 61 tracks!

The Japanese CD release of the soundtrack for the live-action TV series "Giant Robo" (1967) has 78 tracks on one CD.

Really fun music, too.

Very nice and cool addition, 78 tracks is a lot but i am looking for a score for only just one movie
