The suit seen above actually is one he's worn in the comic book at times in recent years, I think from the Marvel Ultimate universe. I guess with the producers saying this film will have more of a "'70s political thriller" vibe, they wanted a suit with more muted colors. But I believe we will still be seeing the traditional suit as well.

Is it really a spin-off if it involves several key characters from the original show, including the star? A continuation (a la Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads?) seems like a more logical description.

Not sure how I feel about this one. The graphic novel is excellent, but the things that make it excellent (real-world characters, interesting and non-gimmicky morality questions, character changes over long passages of time, non-Hollywood plot resolutions, etc.) are also the type of things that would make it a horrible 2-hour Hollywood film. You just can't properly tell this story and present these ideas in 120 Hollywood minutes.

To me, this would be much better as a high-budget and well-crafted miniseries. It really needs a format that can do justice to the terrific content.

I really fear what will be dumbed down and streamlined in order to make it a big financial success. I'd love my fears to be proven unfounded, but I'm not optimistic.
