I can't wait for this movie, I LOVE the MAD MAX films, and the music!

At one point, I saw Marco Beltrami's name attached. I think there was even an early poster for the film shown on his website. But it has since been removed, and more recently I saw a reference that suggested Christopher Young will be composing the score.

I don't know for sure, though. The film has already been shot, and the last I heard it was aiming for a New Year release, so if it stays on track I figure we should be hearing more news about it in the upcoming months.

Composer Elliot Wheeler, whom recently did some arranging on "The Great Gatsby", has said in a recent itnerview, as well as other sources, he is doing the music.

When they ask you whom gave you this information, tell 'em Nobody. ;-)

WHO ???!!!

Seems to have done mostly short movies & commercials, and one movie "Restraint" in 2008.

Wikipedia page shows Christopher Young as the composer...Not that Wikipedia is all that reliable.

IMDB doesn't show a composer on its production crew list.

Hope it's someone real good, though.

IMDb is user contributed, and anybody can ad to it. Also, even if you submit something, IMDb selectively chooses which updates it will accept.

Wikipedia page shows Christopher Young as the composer...

That would be ubercool, but something tells me that isn't as reliable a source.

The wikipedia page was edited in December of last year; Wheeler's interview was more recent.

I also hear there may be two more MAD MAX movies after FURY ROAD, pretty cool! George Miller is writing and directing all of them, he is my second favorite director, Spielberg being my first.

Get John Powell back, dammit!

Powell was attached like what, seven years ago? And until 2014, he won't be back from his semi-retirement.

For sure I'll jump on this as soon as it is released since I love the Mad Max franchise.
If I could I would hire Zimmer for his drum and wall-of-sound style.
But I'll buy as well a Young's s.t.

Brian Tyler has signed on to score this movie! cool Brian is taking over scoring duties from Marco Beltrami who was previously writing the music for the film.

Really? Where exactly did you get any confirmation Marco wrote anything for Mad Max IV?

You mean a page that can be edited by anybody, and a user named "Edward" at a score board? That's not exactly proof. I can go edit the wikipedia page right now to say "Findlay Crawford".

I think Tyler would be a great choice. His rhythmic style would fit the movie very well IMO
