Thank you, Mike. I was so annoyed that no -- and I mean NO -- media channel in Norway had even mentioned his passing, so I felt I HAD to do something.

I always wonder if there is anyone listening to these programs, but it struck me that this might be the first time Fenton has spoken openly about the INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE rejection? Does anyone know?

Well I listened anyway, Thor. I can't say if it's the first time that Fenton has spoken about that or not, but he didn't give too much away, did he? I know that you must research all your programmes thoroughly before compiling them, so you must have come across interviews with other people who spoke about the VAMPIRE rejection. I think it was in the L.A. Times that David Geffen was quoted as saying that Fenton didn't hit bull's-eye with his approach to the score, it being too dark (or words to that effect). All that might have even been covered here on the FSM Message Board (but I'm sure you'd know if THAT were the case)!

So, maybe it is the first time the composer has spoken about it. But I still got more info from other sources.

That sounds like a negative reaction to your show, Thor. I don't mean it that way. It's all good stuff, and with an interesting "different" slant.

By the way, is that a beard you're cultivating on your chin, or some other kind of fungus?

Good luck with the next show!

Ha, ha...yeah, some kind of beard.

Thanks for the feedback, Graham. I seriously do not know if Fenton has spoken about the VAMPIRE rejection before, as it's not usually a topic that interests me very much. But I'm a bit curious now that it became a topic in my interview (not with the vampire). Didn't find much by googling around.
