I wasn't aware that TD had made a version of "Walking in the Air". I'll check that out.

Yeah, I checked it out after your recommendation. It's a pretty cool arrangement, although I think -- ultimately -- I prefer the original.

Some great tracks there, Thor! (most of which I admittedly hadn't heard before)

I ordered GRAVITY some time ago and expect it to arrive any day now, and some of the others are definitely great shopping list suggestions.

My favorites among your choices, apart from GRAVITY, are some of the more delicate, quiet stuff, like SUMMER IN FEBRUARY, PRISONERS and COPPERHEAD. The moody and majestic OBLIVION is also terrific (this and GRAVITY are the only movies on your list I've seen/heard so far).

Hope you don't mind me revealing some of your choices here..

No, that's fine, Nils. I'm just thankful that people listen to these episodes which take me forever to make. I may get one or two likes on facebook etc., but rarely comments, so I appreciate it! smile

Be aware that not ALL the tracks on GRAVITY are equally interesting, but there's just something about the eerie, dissonant textures that he weaves which makes me return to this again and again.

Nice show! My favorites of the ones you played were Oblivion, Pain & Gain and Gravity, the latter which sounds almost like a symphonic Jean-Michel Jarre.

In a way, yeah. I'm very proud of including PAIN & GAIN there, which seemed to be hated by almost everyone else, but which I find absolutely adorable. The track I played reminds me a bit of Tim Truman's "Helicopter" cue from MIAMI VICE. Well, a bit, anyway...

My favorites included Flight Of The Navigator, Delta Force and Forrest Gump. The choral stuff from The Abyss reminded me somewhat of Grand Canyon.

Other favorites that you didn't play:

Clan Of The Cave Bear, American Anthem, No Mercy, Critical Condition, Outrageous Fortune, Overboard, The Bodyguard, Contact.

He, he...yeah, that would raise an eyebrow or two, I would think. But John Barry WILL probably pop up in some form or fashion at some point.

Nice work. My favorite is the Peter Gabriel-track, with the Mansell-track on second place. The track by Debney is fine too, and the one by Zimmer is OK, although I find his The Bible/Son Of God even more interesting. By the way, the opening of the Danna-cue is based on a traditional hymn.

Thanks for the information on the Danna track. I wasn't aware of that.
