Very interesting. I always assumed the BRIDE score cues still existed. The DVD includes extensive score only selections over menus and used as the back ground for the special features. It sounds pretty good too.
In connection with STALAG 17, it's interesting to note this obituary for Donald Bevan, coauthor of the original stage play. He was a B-17 waist gunner who was shot down over Germany and imprisoned in Stalag 17-B. A skilled artist, he was known for decorating the noses of the Flying Fortresses. Later he was responsible for the actor caricatures of that adorn Sardi's restaurant on Broadway. I'm tempted to wonder if Mr. Bevan's experiences may also have helped to inspire the AMAZING STORIES episode about the trapped cartoonist waist gunner.
