Looks like you live in a pretty decent neighborhood. I'm jealous. If I started posting pics of what I see on my curb every day, it would be drastically different.

Used, discarded condoms, needles, human feces, vomit, broken glass, broken bicycle locks, vandalized cars, dildos (I'm not kidding), dead rats, random articles of clothing (including underwear). You name it. On the bright side, I do tend to find money a lot.

Let's not forget pieces of criminal's bodies, tampons, toxic waste, dead animals. The other day someone left a dead deer in front of someone's front lawn, Would you believe it took 2 days till the city picked it up. In the summertime it would have stunk up the whole block. The world we live in.

Dateline: Berkeley, California - Curbside fanboy DavidinBerkeley contacted local police to inquire about claiming the Apple-y Thing-y. Police informed him that the item has not been claimed. After an additional 30 days, he can claim the item.

Thirty days passed, player claimed, sold to www.webuy.com at the Berkeley location.

I once found a backpack with a bra, some unused tampons and a blow dryer in it.

Not a patch on your list, though! smile

This is another of those Americanisms things from the other thread.

In the UK, we'd spell it 'kerb'.

Yup, and "Curb" is something that is done to enthusiasm.

Wait, is that.....?

Uh, yes, it's a box of jelly doughnuts.

And they're all.... uh.... split in half.

Hmmm.

I turned it in to the Berkeley Police.

They say that I must wait 90 days before I can possibly claim it.

And even then (after November 18), they will (at my expense) put an ad in local media advertising it as lost, IF..... it is worth over $250.

Kinda interesting, the whole process, huh?

You could Pawn it, then the owner has only 30 days to scour all the pawn shops, identify it, and declare ownership.
Very little chance of that happening.

Sad story about the iPod Nano (I missed it the first time around). Weird that Apple themselves won't contact the owner, at least, if they have the contact info. As someone who often loses a lot of stuff, I sympathize with the owner.

I found a 7th generation Nano.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPod_Nano#7th_generation

No one answered the lost and found ad, so I'm hanging on to it. It only has RAMBO II on it, soundtrack-wise, so I'm planning to wipe the other stuff out, and fill it with my stuff.

Now I just need the proper cable.

What utopia are you living in where the streets are filled with women's shed undergarments, jelly donuts, and free Apple products?

Berzerkely, where the women are strong, the men are vulnerable, and students are totally careless with their belongings, apparently.

And as jenkwombat suggests, completely without sense or taste in film music!

Found a cable, by the curb!

Now I'm learning how amazingly slow iTunes is, transferring all my swing music from cd to the Nano. frown

USB2 is not the fastest connection in the world, and third-party iOS cables have been known to slow down data transfers dramatically. (Some third-party manufacturers, like Anker, give top performance.)

Well, the price was "right", anyway. Thanks.

So, I found a board game (Cranium) by the curb. I passed on taking it home, but I did find inside this "pictionary"-style part of one of the past games.

Now you must determine what it is meant to convey to the viewer.

I think it is "plastic surgery".
