When I was in high school (a 1970 graduate) I was bitten by the filmmaking bug, bought myself a Super-8 camera and began making my own amateur movies. My best friend was Mark Zimmerman, and he wanted to be an actor. Perfect. I was behind the camera, and he was in front of it.
Today, Mark is still acting. If you look him up at the IMDb, you'll see that he's appeared in The Thomas Crown Affair (1999), as well as a few other films, lots of TV shows, and he does a lot of stage work.
I'm still hoping he leaps to superstardom so that my little homemade flicks will be worth something!

big grin

I don't think I've ever worked with any actors.

Maybe a couple of Norwegian ones in various capacities back when I worked in television, but you wouldn't know them.

Back in 1987 I helped work on the special make-up effects for a dreadful little horror film called "Creepozoids".

I liked the whole crew (most I understand had done porno films) but Linnea Quigley was very droll and fun to be around.

I had a small role in K-19 The Widowmaker (as Yakov Ratinkin- the helmsman)

Worked on the film for roughly 3 months and got to spend a little down time with him and the rest of the cast. Was a dream come true. He was cool.

Linnea is great. Did you get to meet her dogs?

There was a sweet girl named ADRIAN LEE, who was a solid actress but she kept on playing in films[BREEDERS, CHUD ETC] with thankless roles, basically just to scream, run around, say a few lines and show her breasts,, She was grateful when I got her a good part in one of my films, a supernatural type romantic drama, and she prove how good an actress she was in it. Sorry to say on the film afterward I did, the part we had for her was not as challenging and she bowed out of the part. I wonder what became of her, very nice woman.
