The upcoming Blu-Ray definitive Friday the 13th documentary, Crystal Lake Memories is looking to feature a brand-new original score by Harry Manfredini!
The documentary, based on the massive book, will be narrated by Corey Feldman and will feature appearances by just about every man, woman, child, and dead body ever to come out of the Friday universe.
Just today, "Friday the 13th: The Film Franchise" (http://www.fridaythe13thfranchise.com/2013/05/new-friday-13th-score-for-crystal-lake.html) announced that Manfredini will supply a presumably brand-new score for the documentary, info supplied by IMDb. IMDb lists "original music by Harry Manfredini" but is not necessarily indicative of whether Manfredini will write a brand new original score or whether material will be culled from his previous F13 films...
...however, on Manfredini's Official Site (http://www.harrymanfredini.com/news/) under the What's Next in the projects section Manfredini lists Crystal Lake Memories! I would think he would have mentioned whether he was going to reuse previous material, so it's difficult to tell, but it is indeed very possible that he will be composing some new Friday the 13th music...time will tell...

Interesting didn't know about this documentary. Gonna have to check it out. And hopefully a score album is in the works.
I am a tad surprised there is not more excitement about this breaking news. Fewer F13 Manfredini fans on FSM than I thought?
As long as it's less like Jason X/Jason Goes to Hell and more like the Paramount scores, this is some of the best news of the year for me.
Perhaps Manfredini's association and creativity regarding Friday the 13th music was rejuvenated during the production and release of the LLL boxset?
The music from His Name Was Jason was abominable. This documentary, by all accounts, will be the definitive F13 doc, set to rival or surpass the NOES doc (although that may depend on which franchise you prefer), and with Manfredini's new music promises to be a full-blooded F13 endeavor that will make tons of fans giddy.
Looking forward to the docu, "never sleep again" truly was the wet dream for any ANOES fan, the "Psycho Legacy" one a bit less professional. I'm especially looking forward to the F13th one for the tv series which they will also cover. Anyway, good news if Manfredini has signed on!
Well, the new definitive F13 documentary Crystal Lake Memories begins shipping this week. Hope to have my copy by this Friday...the 13th!
Someone from "Friday the 13th: The Film Franchise" website has already seen the documentary and had this to say about Harry Manfredini's new score for the doc:
"Harry Manfredini's new music is great and contains a mix of old themes with new music."
Can't f***ing wait!
SERIOUSLY, SERIOUSLY, SERIOUSLY hope there will be some sort of score release for this new F13 Manfredini score...

Thanks my friend for posting this. I have really been off the mark on this over the last couple of months. Getting back into the swing of things. Let's hope there is a score release. The man knows how to make a small ensemble sound incredible.

Awesome! Can't wait for the documentary myself. I plan on purchasing it soon. And I agree with you about a score release, eventhough I haven't heard the score for the doc. yet.
Looks like the soundtrack is going ahead, signed copies available at darkdel.com!
Just spoke to DarkDel now, they will be selling them at the Fans of Film Music 4 event too. Since I'll be at the event I'll pick one up then! Can't wait! A really fun score, mixing his old and new stuff. Perhaps a bit less acoustic orchestra than I would have liked but still awesome just the same.
So awesome this is actually getting a score release!!!
Hope that pressed CDs will also appear at SAE. 1) I can save little $$$ on shipping (combine with other CDs) 2) I already have Mr. Manfredini autograph (from amazing F13 box-set) and I want to give that chance to others, who don't have it.
