Milan Records will be releasing Cliff Martinez's score to Only God Forgives digitally, on CD, and on double vinyl July 16th. Only God Forgives, being released on July 19th, was directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, who also directed 2011's Drive. Given Cliff Martinez's scoring history, Drive included, and recent scores for films starring Ryan Gosling (read: The Place Beyond the Pines), I'm really looking forward to this one. Sounds like an interesting film to boot! Thoughts everyone? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Only_God_Forgives http://www.milanrecords.com/news_and_events/news_and_events.php At this time, only the double vinyl appears to be available for preorder: http://www.amazon.com/Only-God-Forgives-Cliff-Martinez/dp/B00COQU04O/ref=sr_1_1?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1368155174&sr=1-1&keywords=only+god+forgives

Love all his music. Liked the CONTAGION movie a lot. It has stuck with me since I saw it a few months ago. It haunts.

Dude, come on! Even when there's a CD, people have to complain about SOMEthing! "No CD? Guess what, downloads? F*** YOU! I WON'T LISTEN TO YOU DESPITE THE EASY ACCESS AND THE FACT THAT IT IS THE 21ST CENTURY." "Hey, there IS going to be a CD, all right! Oh, just a CD-R. That's not a CD. Because of the addition of the R at the end. Looks like a CD on top, plays like a CD on the bottom, but even though I can't see it while it's in the player and wouldn't be able to tell one way or the other, Iiiiiii'm gonna bitch! I'm gonna bitch." "Hey, a real pressed CD for the European market! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! F*** YOU, lossy downloads and CD-Rs that feature the exact same content and are lossless but ARE NOT TRUE CDs BECAUSE THEY ARE COLORED AND Iiiiii DO NOT TRUST THE COLORED." "It's here, it's really here! Finally, a real disc! I can finally enjoy the music when the disc becomes invisible to me due to it being in a CD player or computer because I knew of its quality before it became invisible to me." "Hey, I really like this CD, but I hate the environment. Is there a version of this disc out there that is a pressed, non-colored CD that is housed in a case that reflects both my image and my disgust at the world we live in?" "Oh, hey, quick question. The liner notes, do they come in a less fresh-off-the-press smell? Does anyone have notes that were hung out on a clothesline before packaging?" "These liner notes have clothespin marks on them." "Mmm, any of these have a 2-disc jewel case that says '2CD' horizontally down the side, rather than the 2 on top of the CD?" "I want the 2-disc case to open from left to right. These cases that open to the second disc from the right feel like they're broken and (inhaling through gritted teeth, then exhaling) I don't know, I just really feel like all 2-disc cases should open from left to right. Can I get a replacement case, but one that opens from left to right? I don't want a case from another score that does open from left to right, I want a case that is from this score, but one that opens from left to right instead of right to left, which, as I've stated earlier, looks broken. Also, if it's not too much trouble, a replacement 2-disc case that opens from left to right but also says '2CD' horizontally down the side." "Disc 8 has a picture of a character who appeared early in the series, and does not appear in the episodes contained on this disc." "The teeth in the jewel case hold the CD really well and it never falls out, but the disc is able to spin around and around. Is there another version that has teeth in the jewel case that secure the CD in a way that doesn't allow it to spin whimsically?"
