I've been buying the individual seasons now that I've found them at my local F.Y.E. for only $10 a piece. I wouldn't want a complete series set, though, because I only really like up to the fifth season. The sixth has its moment (although I never cared for Sarah Chalke as the second Becky), but beyond that I felt the show only got worse and worse. The early seasons are great, though. I can watch those episodes anytime.

Totally agreed. First 5 seasons all the way. Gotta have as much Darlene and Booker as possible.
Be careful when you buy the first and perhaps the second seasons of Roseanne on DVD.
I understand the "cut" syndicated episodes were used for the original DVD boxset releases instead of using the complete uncut episodes as shown as they were originally broadcast in primetime.
The good news is that the uncut episodes are now available on DVD in a new and different style boxset.
Yeah, the show was first released by Anchor Bay, and the first season was the cut syndicated version. When Roseanne found out, she worked more closely with AB to ensure the subsequent seasons were the full versions.
Mill Creek is responsible for the current releases, and their release of Season 1 features the original, uncut version.
I believe an easy way to tell the difference is that Anchor Bay's sets had four discs, while Mill Creek's have three discs.
