I just feel this Music Box release of these two Georges Gavarentz scores is worthy of it's own thread. I've been listening to the samples and really enjoying them. Looking forward to receiving the CD next month.
I'm looking forward to it too. To repeat my thoughts from the 'Music Box' thread:
I don't know about THE CORRUPT ONES, but KILLER FORCE (or DIAMOND MERCENARIES as I always knew it) was certainly recorded in England, at IBC Studios.
I have the Pye version of DIAMOND MERCENARIES, which I bought second-hand many years ago in Dean St Records in London. I'd been after it ever since I first saw the film. Obviously I've ordered this new CD.
The film itself was released on DVD in Australia last year (under the KILLER FORCE title) although it wasn't a particularly good print. It was quite entertaining although I don't really know now what I saw in it the first time round
Most of the score is on the album, incidentally. I think I noticed a minute or two in the film that might not have been on the album, but actually it's a relatively lightly scored film.
This is now sold out at Music Box Records (copies still available at SAE and other stores). I hope that this confirms the CD was a success and more Garvarentz will be on the way in 2013.

Agreed! And apart from the usual suspects (That Man from Instanbul, They Came to Rob Las Vegas... etc), I'm hoping that Music Box releases the über cool DU RIFIFI À PANAME.
Indeed a great one Kevin! The other track from Du Rififi a Paname available on a CD compilation, "Riff hi-fi", is actually a re-used theme from "Panic Button" with some added vocals. But, anyway, I love this theme and would welcome a complete CD.
I would also love the afore-mentioned They Came To Rob Las Vegas! - if for nothing else then certainly for the absolutely brilliant track "Cosa Nostra from Mexico" which does not appear on either CD compilation (in my opinion it's one of the best climax sequences, losing only to Barry's "Death of Fiona" from Thunderball). But the whole score is great - I've been playing the Harkit CD a lot recently, though I would happily upgrade to a better sounding version without a hesitation.
Actually I look forward to the next Garvarentz release whatever it will be
EDIT: I just found that Cosa Nostra from Mexico WAS released on an official CD in remastered sound quality, just under a different title. It's edited down by one minute but still, what a find!

Yes, please! Great pick, Kevin. I love how the credits in the sequence above were sync'd to the music. I'd buy a CD in a heartbeat.
There's a German DVD of Killer Force which apparently has good picture and sound but is missing 7 minutes!.
Sometimes, you can't win!
Responding to an old post: Yeah, I had that German DVD and what seemed cut to me was all the violence; nearly every bullet/squib hit is removed. Shots just cut to the aftermath. Christopher Lee commits a brutal murder of a female character, and I'm sure that was removed, too.
I just acquired a copy of The Corrupt Ones film, and I'll post my thoughts on that soon.
I'm hoping for a complete version of "The Southern Star"; a 2 cd set with the original film tracks on one cd, followed by the lp version on the second cd. One of my holy grails!
