Hansi could have used 200 percussionists, and it still wouldn't have mattered, cause there's no THERE there.

Yes. I'm sure you're correct by whatever it is that you mean (at this point it makes no sense).

It does to those who know Gertrude Stein.

So then it just sweats self-importance?

Wow, no posts in nearly 2 years in this thread. Anyway, I posted the following in another MoS thread but it wasn't one I really wanted to post in, this is the one that I had originally intended to post in (thanks J LeBlanc), so forgive the double-MoS-thread posting, but eh. *shrugs*

I love the score to Man of Steel. I think it's a terrific work.

I just wanted to point out the track "Tornado" and the moments between 1:30-2:05. Incredible stuff, and I feel like it's as emotional and powerful a moment as anything Zimmer has ever written. Anyone else really dig this part?

Thanks to the recording sessions leak, we know the correct chronological order for the OST now:

1-01 Look To The Stars (2:53)
1-04 DNA (3:18)
1-05 Goodbye My Son (1:56)
1-12 Ignition (1:12)
1-11 Launch (2:29)
1-13 I Will Find Him (2:47)
1-07 Krypton's Last (1:58)
1-02 Oil Rig (1:31)
2-02 Are You Listening, Clark? (2:39)
1-03 Sent Here For A Reason (3:45)
1-15 I Have So Many Questions (3:21)
1-16 Flight (4:08)
1-09 Tornado (2:46)
2-04 You Led Us Here (2:51)
1-08 Terraforming (9:45)
1-10 You Die Or I Do (3:03)
1-06 If You Love These People (3:02)
1-17 What Are You Going To Do When You Are Not Saving The World? (5:26)

The rest are suites you can place in any order you like
2-01 Man of Steel (Hans' Original Sketchbook) (28:11)
2-03 General Zod (7:06)
2-05 This is Madness! (3:38)
2-06 Earth (6:12)
2-07 Arcade (7:24)
1-14 This Is Clark Kent (3:36)

It's interesting too that Zimmer selected more cues from the first half of the film than the second half for the OST release; Usually its the other way around. And then he went and put most of the finale cues in the first half of the OST, and the cues from the beginning of the film at the end of the OST. Quite odd.
