Well, only two years later and it turns out Leigh's efforts didn't go to waste as we have a lovely new complete recording of The Blue Max to cherish (with lots of bonuses, to boot)! Also in between now and when this post was last active, QB VII complete was revealed, although Leigh didn't do it.

So Leigh...can you give us any hints of what your next project is after Thief of Bagdad, which was just recorded and is no doubt wonderful?

I guess it turned out Leigh's next project was Thriller, now available for preorder from Tadlow here:

I was intrigued to notice that in addition to his reconstruction work, Leigh was also credited on this release as a co-producer along with James Fitzpatrick, and James himself recently confirmed that Leigh helped fund this release:

So I'd like to take this opportunity to not only THANK YOU, Leigh, (once again) for your fantastic reconstruction work, but especially also for "putting your money where your mouth was" and actually funding one of the three projects you mentioned earlier in this thread as really wanting to tackle:

I'm not sure how many scores are planned for the series - but, if I could pick anything, it would be one of three things:

. Complete Lionheart (the soundtrack performance is pretty poor)
. A CD of his scores for Thriller & Twilight Zone
or
. Orchestral realisation of one of his 'synth trilogy' scores (which maybe interesting, as he tended to write quite orchestrally for the keyboards on those projects)

Those would be my choices...but who knows what's next :-)

James had previously said that further new Goldsmith Thriller recordings may be possible if sales of this great release warrant it, and recently in the Thriller thread he claimed that pre-order sales were very promising, so here's hoping this is the first of several Tadlow Thriller releases to come out before James finally retires!

Regarding Goldsmith - Im hope that after "Thriller", both James and Leigh decide to do new LIONHEART...
