I don't think Jurassic Park needs a 2-disc expanded release. What tracks are left? With these new files, I think we have just about everything except one cue which has already been documented. This is plenty good as it is.

It would be nice to have the tangible disc package with liner notes and artwork and the lot, especially for those who love the CD and the LP as a format on and in hand.
The 2 CD set of "Hook" is awesome and a similar release of "Jurassic Park" would be classic.
But, as I mentioned at the start of this thread, the existing CD is great, as is.
OK, so what's the point of having huge multinational companies when content can't be delivered to Europe ? I want to give you my money on the HD album, UMG, won't you take it ?
And that's the same bunch that will scream over and over about piracy and albums not being purchased... Go figure.
Wow, I finally managed to buy the 192 kHz / 24 bit 20th Anniversary Edition on HDtracks yesterday, thanks to what appears to be a temporary glitch on the regional restriction on the album page.
Still hoping for a definitive all cues in film order (with alternate tracks?) in a physical CD package from one of the awesome specialty labels with new liner notes.
What are the chances we get a Lost World complete??? Though I wouldn't want it treated like Jurassic. We would get robbed of the film version of Rescuing Sarah.
So, just to be clear: the only difference is the extra tracks and the combining of certain cues. Has the sound quality been improved at all? I always found the old CD to be a bit quiet.

It's master a bit differently and it's louder, two things I don't consider improvements given that, IMHO, the original CD release has perfect sound quality.
FYI there are no alternates in either JP score (apart from two different openings for the TLW title track).
Any "film versions" of TLW cues compared to their album versions are editorial creations. Also it should be noted that some album tracks are comprised of (sometimes only portions of) cues from two different parts of the movie combined together, which can lead to confusion especially if one of the cues wasn't used.
I really enjoyed Mondo's vinyl release of the Jurassic Park score which, I believe, was sourced from a 96/24 hard drive copy of the 20th anniversary remasters provided by John Williams' office.
Any thoughts from "pro audio" personnel who might've heard this?
I listened to the first side at an audiophile vinyl-loving friend's house (he's not a soundtrack guy, surprised he had picked this up) and it sounded...like Jurassic Park's score would sound played out of my small speakers at home, or my headphones at home, or my earbuds at work. Guess I just don't get the audiophile business.
I believe that the vinyl does not include the bonus tracks from the download - so if it was sourced from those masters, it did not include the full program.
