I'm one of the lucky bods who managed to grab a copy of this CD before it went AWOL many years ago. It was the very first Special Collection release from Intrada I think. It's a dark, at times ambient score by BP with occasional blasts of his symphonic power coming through. It's not strongly thematic and mainly consists of a flexible 3 note motif that goes through many variations. I absolutely love the last 2 minutes of the track '218', where he really unleashes some great power writing. I don't think it's as enjoyable as similar styled action scores he wrote like UNDER SEIGE 2 or ON DEADLY GROUND, as they contain stronger main themes and a bit more variation. But it's an interesting score with enough material to entertain, if you enjoy Poledouris' music. What do others think?
Really enjoyed the score when I heard it in the film. I was not aware of its release, or the specialty labels at the time. This is one score that really needs a re-release.
