I suppose if Waxman's "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" was going to be released, it would have happened by now.
At least there is the 10 minute suite on John Mauceri's Hollywood Nightmares album. Just watched this around Halloween and found the suite a nice summation of the score. Thank heavens for re-recordings, as others are saying.

FREEJACK - Trevor Jones
Intrada wanted to release it but Trevor Jones would'nt give them his master tapes. My no 2 grail. :-(
No, I think they said they couldn't use them. Jones donated them to a university (I don't recall the name of it). Sadly, he donated a lot to them, including most of his rejected scores. Maybe the university wanted too much, maybe they wouldn't let them access it, hell -- maybe Jones put a stop to it for some reason.

Oh man, I'm thinking of another title that La La Land did, "The Sender".
The University of Leeds has the stereo tapes, but the LLLR release was in mono. When pointed out the explination was:
"On this particular title, we were obligated to use the source material in Paramount's possession. That material happened to be only in mono, but very good quality mono, so we decided to make this score finally available as a legitimate, official release.

But it seems the goal posts for this thread is moving then. The question was, what famous score will never get released. (In any form) Not what recording sessions will never get released, or what complete score will never get released.
