On that note, do we know that Season 4 was *entirely* synthesized? I know certain episodes contained orchestra, and judging from the videos I've seen of the These Are The Voyages sessions combined with the final recording, I'd say it's a stripped down orchestra augmented (haha, Enterprise joke) with synth to make the orchestra sound bigger.

I'd say it was half and half. Most of the Chattaway scores were orchestra (except "Awakening" and "Bound"). Most of the McCarthy scores appeared to be synthesized, aside from "These Are The Voyages."). It also sounds like some of McCarthy's later Season 3 efforts were synthesized, although I can't confirm that.

I would give Velton Ray Bunch his own disc. He scored 13 episodes and it would make a very nice album on it's own. Or maybe pair him up with John Frizzel or McKenzie and a forth disc for the rest. Some of the most memorable scores were composed by the guest composers, so if any trek show deserves two discs for the guests it is Enterprise.

Any word on this or Enterprise coming any time soon? Have I just simply missed the boat because I'm so swamped?

Look at our Trek releases like Disney's Marvel film rollout - 2 times a year, about 6 -8months apart

Voyager is a 2014 release

Thanks MV for the Voyager update. As you know we loyal customers will be requesting our personal favorite scores like...................McCarthy 4th season "The Year of Hell," & David Bell 5th season "Dark Frontier."

2013: Star Trek: DS9 (February) & Unknown second title (Fall?)

If there's indeed another Star trek release this year then it almost has to be a Second Volume of TNG-Music.
All possible Movie releases (by La-La Land) are done, Star Trek TOS is complete, Voyager is 2004 and for a second DS9-Set it's probably way too early (if at all).
Also Enterprise is rather unlikely,'cause why should MV mention the Voyager-Set in here, when Enterprise is likely to come out half a year earlier.

MV has previously stated he would want to do Enterprise first:

(July 1, 2012)
La La Land Records:

I vote Enterprise before Voyager as well. smile

MV

This was in reply to another user suggesting Enterprise before Voyager.

EDIT:
And sicne we have one more release coming this year, well...
It's not likely a Volume 2 of TNG. Insurrection is GNP. Nemesis is in perpetuity Varese. It's way too soon to have assembled another D.S.9.. All the other Trek films are covered. TOS is done. No interest that I have seen, has been expressed for any of the video game scores.
That leaves Enterprise.

Because this subject is "I'm hoping for "Star Trek: Voyager" from LaLaLand!," that's why.

I thought in other threads, they were pretty clear that "Enterprise" would come before "Voyager."

D'oh - my bad! embarrassment

My Oversight came from SheriffJoe asking (emphasize by me)

Any word on this or Enterprise coming any time soon? Have I just simply missed the boat because I'm so swamped?

To which MV replied

So thanks for pointing out my error. smile

MV seems to be implying that there WILL be another Trek release this year, and both he and Ford Thaxton have repeatedly implied that their preference would be for Enterprise to come before Voyager.

They have also expressed that the TNG Vol 1 set did not sell very well, so any second release of that is actually LEAST likely of all.

Also, not all movies are done. Nemesis & Insurrection have not been done, but Insurrection is likely to come from GNP (since they have the rights and have released the last two TNG expandeds) and Varese would have to do Nemesis unless they give the rights to someone else.

hi everyone, how wonderful to read all of your suggestions and comments. i just stumbled across this post after i went on a wild google search. i just started re-watching "workforce", and only 20 seconds in i needed to find out more about the score and a possible release of another voyager soundtrack. great to see that there are other voy score buffs out there who have so much more insight than me. i'm looking forward to reading more of your posts and suggestions until the voy box set's final release. i mean it seems inevitable. who would've thought in the mid-90s that they would re-release the generations soundtrack at some point?

Whatever they decide on with the Voyager set ....TO MV ....PLEEEEEEASE don't overlook the Endgame episode score...pleaseee include the whole score to it like you did with Dennis' What You Leave Behind score.......for example ...the final cue to Endgame part 1 is soooo tense and hair raising and the other cue when Admiral janeway tries to get Tom into the Nebula but Captian janeway tells her older self to shut up or be removed from the bridge is another epic cue....please include those two at least!
