PASSION gets a lot of flack, especially by those who are unable to see the subversive/genre play that De Palma is doing, but IMO it's one of his best films in YEARS. But most (normal people) DePalma fans would say, quite rightly, that it's a sub-standard TV movie that pales in comparison to the best of DePalma from the years gone by. Oh, sure. I'm not necessarily putting it up against the revered classics, like CARRIE or BLOW OUT or BODY DOUBLE or whatever, just saying that it's his best in years.
