Just watched Desert Crossing and this indeed had a very interesting score with distinctive themes.

Using U2 Elevation would have been worse than the song they used.
It would have been painful to hear U2 for than many episodes.

I thought it was Beautiful Day rather than Elevation...and you can NEVER hear too much U2.

I would like to suggest some cues for the Enterprise Vol. 2 set to be released by LLL:

- the beautiful somewhat Harry Potter-esque music for the young Sim in "Similitude" (at 12:37 on the DVD)

- the cue beginning at 39:12 in "Silent Enemy" that was also used for the DVD intro.

And a question, from which episode originates the music used for the intro of the season 3 DVD set? These pieces chosen are so good and often heard that it would be great to include them in the Vol. 2 set.
