A few days ago I watched this movie, based on a novel by Bret Easton Ellis, again and - like always - I was blown away by the absolutley beautiful score by Thomas Newman. It´s a pity that still there is no official soundtrack album available out there. I would buy it without hesitation. So, Intrada, La La Land and co... Let´s go!!!!

The "unmentionable" is of really nice quality.

Always waiting for this one. My absolute favourite Thomas Newman score. As was mentioned in a previous thread Thomas Newman doesn't seem to be too popular on the limited releases front. I get the impression that sales of Intrada's WHISPERS IN THE DARK release weren't exactly flying off the shelves. I always hope disappointing figures on one product doesn't doom further ones. If they were only going to release one Thomas New man score i really wish it had been this one.

I couldn't agree more. I've been told it's on LLLR's radar. Fingers crossed. This is the holy grail for me.

Really hope it finally appears. I'll say again its strange how such a know name composer like Thomas Newman seems to generate very little in the limited/ special releases market.

Add me to the list of folks that would purchase this. Always happy to find (and buy!) an unheard (and for me, unknown) Thomas Newman score.

As to Spook's comment on 'Whispers In The Dark', I bought this 'blind', and enjoy it, but have to say it's not one of TN's most approachable scores - a bit too pensive for my taste. But I haven't seen the film, either. Probably a perfect fit for the film.

I agree with you about WHISPERS. Its never been one of my favourites and i never quite got what folk saw in it but to each his own. I think unreleased titles such as LESS THAN ZERO, MEN DON'T LEAVE, DECEIVED or PHENOMENON are much more deserving of releases..... but thats just me!

I would buy every single one of the titles Spook just mentioned.

I guarantee LTZ would fly off the shelves. This wouldn't take very long to sell out.

Considering your profile picture and what you list as your favourite score, I can't honestly call this an unbiased opinion...
