Watching those clips I'm amazed how violent King Kong is in all his films. He holds no punches!

The hunter getting ripped in two like a pencil cracks me up every time. It's just so, so, so lame.

With the exception of Greystoke, this is easily my favorite John Scott score. No pun intended, but its a real monster.

I have not heard of this score and was mightily impressed when I heard the samples at Intrada. managed to scour the net and found a copy. Bought it.

KKL was not a great movie, c-level. But when I've listened to Scott's music that's really a class-act, its haunting & an emotional ride that's beautifully vibrant & sad, thee material soars way above the visuals.

Currently listening to my LP at an unreasonably high volume.

Giving this a re-spin, due to recent FSM thread chat.
Unmistakeable John Scott, with echoes of GREYSTOKE bleeding through at times.
A classic case of Goldsmith-style inspiration for this one from Scott.
Although the film JS saw in spotting is probably close to the one we saw when released, thankfully, he scored the one in his head, when he went off to write and record it, ala Goldsmith.
And we are all very thankful for that.
