Just wanted to ask a quick question. Anyone got the Silva Screen version of the PHANTASM soundtrack? I just got one from a seller in Germany (and it wasn't cheap!) and it contains 2 cds in it. It looks genuine but I remain a wee bit suspicious. I looked up the entry on Soundtrack Collector and it only mentions one disc. The second disc seems to be the 'Rock is dead' label version withe the first film's music, and again looks real but....I wonder if the seller has re-packaged 2 original cds for some weird reason. Anyone?

I have the silva screen, it's a standard 1 CD black case; the CD itself has blue print on it and the code L061305 Filmcd 071 in the inner ring. It has the two scores on it. If you have that one, you should be fine. Good scores by the way.

Thanks Francis...seems like its real but its obviously been packaged up with the other issue of the soundtrack on another label. Thats just weird! On further examination there seems to be a picture stuck onto the inside of the back cover (which also seems authentic) Can't complain really as it looks like i get a bonus cd but its strange the Seller has gone out of his way to repackage an original product. Great wee score anyway. BOYYYYY!
It's about time someone revisited this score. Both the Silva (UK) and Varese (US) discs have been OOP for a long time, and copies are impossible to find at reasonable prices.
The Phantasm films have been hinted to get releases on Arrow Video's blu-ray line. Not implying that will result in reissues of the scores, but I can see them including it in their release as they've included CDs for other cult titles. You could send them a request.
I was just listening to this today thinking that we really need a re-release of this. I don't remember the score to 3 & 4 much, only saw them once each) but it would be great for all of them to be released when the fifth movie comes out.

I agree. I would love to see a remastered as well as a release of all the sequels
I have that other disc Spook, rock is dead Label the seller you bought it off must of made a mistake he gave you the silva screen label cd and the rock is dead label cd. I have both releases but in separate cases. how much did you pay by the way.
