Great movie and great score. Much better than that "Argo" crap. Can someone explain me why not a best score nomination for this dark score instead of the aberration called "Argo"?

No one is going convince you that Argo is excellent score so move on.
The strange thing is that so much of Argo's score is either buried (even that airplane cue is dialed down super low) or not even there, replaced by cues from other films. There's some interesting stuff in there, the "scat" percussion in particular, but it's funny that both Argo and Zero Dark Thirty don't really do anything notable in their films until the last 30 minutes.

Saying that Argo is an aberration is a disrespect to what Desplat managed to acheive with the score. The blend of orchestal sounds to represent Hollywood, with the mix of instruments and unusual vocals to represent the strange world in which the 6 missing americans are trapped.
Same with ZDT, which is the equivalent of Powell's United 93, and the conclusion of Desplat's 9-11, political and Middle Eastern thriller sounds he has been experimenting in the last eight years.

Agreed. It's one thing to dislike the score but to call it "an aberration"? Well you can't take such people seriously anymore.
Watched this movie a couple of months. One of my favourites, for sure.
I think Desplat's score works incredibly well. I really like the fanfare that crops up towards the end of the movie; it evokes a sense of heroism coupled with the feeling that what they're about to do is "a dirty deed that has to be done". The pounding brass that plays on their way to the compound, as well as the soft music that plays as Maya boards the plane, are terrific pieces of music.
