I think it's easy to forget that Dudley Moore was a classically trained composer (and fantastic pianist) when looking at the movies he starred in like Arthur and others. The "Beethoven's Colonel Bogey" is a riot and shows what a remarkable musical talent Dudley Moore.

yes, he was a fine talent in a bunch of ways, shame he left us so early, but in his time it seems he made the most of life, he was a type of talent who no matter what film he was in[B.O BOMBS OR HITS], run of the mill films or solid ones[which is of course , just opinion] he was fun to watch for 90 minutes or so, on a rainy Saturday afternoon or late at night.

I saw him live, when he was very ill and close to death. He couldn't walk, and could barely speak, yet and he had an entire room full of people in hysterics.

O for the days when there was a good chance that a celebrity would actually have something about them that set them apart from the rest of us. Today's "slebs" are generally famous for being famous, with little up top.

(And listen to any Beethoven to see how reluctant he was to finish a composition, brilliantly lampooned by Dud.)
