CRIMES OF THE HEART Original Motion Picture Score Music Composed and Conducted by Georges Delerue
We are thrilled to present this Encore release of one of Georges Delerue’s classic scores from the 1980s. Crimes of the Heart (1986) is an exceptionally beautiful work and our soundtrack has been out of print for over 20 years. In this score, Delerue highlights the saxophone, along with all of his usual, unmistakable and magical touches.
The film stars Diane Keaton, Jessica Lange and Sissy Spacek and is directed by Bruce Beresford (Driving Miss Daisy).
CDs expected to begin shipping the week of July 23.

Finally! I was on the fence for years about this one (owing to the obscene prices on the secondary market). Now, it will be mine in a near identical presentation. Bravo Varese!
Sorry, im confused here. Is this a straight re-issue of the original one Varese put out or a new recording of the score? I recently spent a small fortune for the first version of this on Ebay and it looks as if its lost in the post. Dont want to miss out but im not so keen if its a new recording of it.

It is a straight re-issue of the original one Varese which was a re-recording and not the original soundtrack recording (see Ford Thaxton post).

I hadn't really discovered Georges Delerue the last time I saw this CD in the flesh. Very pleased to see it back, so I can snag a copy for a decent price.
This is easily my favorite Varese release in a long time. Very happy to finally be able to buy this. Can't help but wonder about the original though....
