First John Travolta now Tom Cruz? What is the world coming to!??
Seriously though, that would be pretty hot if he did come out, although I would have hoped it to have been a few years ago. He is starting to reach that age of, a bit too old for my tastes.

I wouldn´t like it that much. Not a very good example for us. Even though I´m enjoying some of the movies he has been in (that makes me a two-faced bit**, doesn´t it?). I feel sorry for him - and I have felt sorry for Katie Holmes too. But now she´s free again. I really missed her on the big screen and I hope she can revive her career.
Some (most... all?) of their reasons are pretty silly; but I guess that's to be expected from an article that's meant mostly as a joke.
I didn't know caring about your health was a sign of being gay, though, lol. I'm straight, but I hope I'm never so straight that I let myself go.
He does look pretty damn good for 50, though. Wow. All of us should be so lucky to have all our hair at that age, because judging by my father I sure won't, lmao. (well... it is many years off... here's hoping there'll be a way to reverse hair loss effectively by then).
Well, as someone who has enjoyed the last few Tom Cruise movies I have to say I care not one little bit whether his sexual allignment is gay, hetro, bi or fucking sheep.
Really don't see how it is important at all. Likewise his religion - sure there are horror stories about Scientology but that is true of a lot of religions today and whilst absolutely not wanting to verge into forbidden territory with religious commentary, I would just say that, as a resolute agnostic myself, what Scientologists believe in is no weirder to me than Christianity. Each to their own I say.
I had a fairly shitty Xmas Last year for various reasons but a high point was watching Ghost Protocl, a MI movie I found more entertaining than the last 3 Bond flicks put together. Cruise was fantastic in it and I really don't care about anything else.
Yeah, "instrument." It's what actors say in reference to their bodies. (The story goes that when newlyweds Mel Brooks and Anne Baxter were arguing he made a threatening gesture and she put up her hands and cried out, "Don't hurt my instrument!" To which Mel retorted, "Yeah? Let me hear you play 'Begin the Beguine' on it!")

Well I guess you can guess what lil' ol' ME was thinkin'.....

My wife talks about whether Person X is gay or not ... while I tend to not care and consider it to be their own private business, unless they are obviously behaving in a manner to draw attention to the fact.
Some of Cruise's later movies have been ok, but it's been awhile since he was in something great. The projects seem more geared to box office than artistic quality.
Im beginning to think this is another of your gay threads??
Wow, what a surprise. A gay-thread at fsm.
All part of life's rich tapestry. We got together with my oldest friends and their two boys yesterday. It was the first time we'd seen them since their younger boy came out and he was happier and more relaxed than I'd seen him for years. We'd known for some time before his declaration - Mrs TG's gaydar is pretty good. It tends to beep when we see TC in a non-acting capacity, but of course it isn't fool-proof, just persuasive.
I don't care one way or another. All I know is that he must be a good actor, because by and large I like him when he's in character, and can't abide him when he's not.
It's quite sad that the article has to make repeated disclaimers about Cruise's sexuality in case they get sued. Why the hell should anyone be sued for calling you gay whether you are or not? It's as if calling someone gay is regarded in the same libellous, utterly negative way as calling someone a crook and a thief in public. This is bad and pathetic. It perpetuates the antediluvian notion that being gay is wrong or even criminal.
I'm left-handed. If someone calls me right-handed, can I sue?
Something I found interesting with respect to automated internet gathering of user info was the idea that they infer a person's sexual orientation based on various browsing and Like patterns.
So, apparently there is gaydar built into those algorithms. Fact is stranger than fiction, as usual.
Just a parallel thought here. For reasons I won`t get into, in limited circles I myself am suspected of being gay, impotent, psychotically undisposed towards women, etc. . Take your pick. Such is untrue, but amidst a gaggle - within the masses - what is one to do to thwart that? Impersonal mob ignorance is unfair and painful.
The point however: imagine having *your* personal sensuality/sexuality/orientation/tastes the subject of PUBLIC discourse. And ridicule. And amusement.
Its the David Letterman style of human empathy. That is to say, none. The precise opposite, really. To all their own, but I am not at all interested. Been there.
