I actually just bought the CD. Better than expected, quite enjoyable to be honest, and not too long with 51 minutes.

I would agree, DARK KNIGHT RISES is my favorite album & score from the Nolan Batman trilogy.

I disagree. Some of the best music are either missing from the CD or they are featured only very shortly. This is one of those Zimmer CDs that would have benefitted tremendously of his "suites & themes / ideas" approach. It' an OK album but it could have been so much better - and I'm not one of those "expanded CDs by all means!" soundtrack fan.

When it was first released you could down load a couple of extra tracks that you could access with a code in the cd case. I waited to long to purchase and open it and missed the deadline. I regret that.

They should have put those extra tracks on the CD instead of having to download them . It's a short CD, it would have had space for a couple of extra tracks.

Of course there are cues missing from the album and whether these are "best" or not is completely subjective and not factual. Even if an expanded edition is released, I'd buy it, but the 51 minute version, for me, is a succinct and satisfying listen, especially when in these days as I lean towards brevity rather than lengthy listens.
