There's Blu-rays of, The Son Of Frankenstein & Frankenstein Meets The Wolfman being released in France on 21st October. I hope the transfers are good, but the cover art of the Blu-rays are pants, esp. when you look at the great art for the VHS's & the original film posters.
Yes it is a real shame. The VHS covers are without a doubt, in my mind at least, the best Universal came up with for the cover art to the home video releases of these films. Interesting though is how many country's, UK especially, still have these VHS covers in use for the DVD releases yet all R1 DVD/BluRay releases either use the poster art or some new looking designs which are nice but not as enticing as the VHS arts.
