THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE: LIMITED EDITION LLLCD 1202
Music by Dimitri Tiomkin
Limited Edition of 2500 Units

La-La Land Records and Sony Music present the remastered and expanded release of renowned composer Dimitri Tiomkin’s (55 DAYS AT PEKING, GIANT, RIO BRAVO, THE OLD MAN AND THE SEA) original motion picture score to the 1964 Roman era-set feature film epic THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE, starring Sophia Loren, Stephen Boyd, James Mason, Alec Guinness and Christopher Plummer, and directed by Anthony Mann. Mr. Tiomkin’s Oscar nominated, Golden Globe winning score is among his finest – large in scope, yet uniquely brash and brimming with energy and ornamentation. Remastered from the original ¼ inch LP master tapes in the Sony vaults and expanded with bonus mono cues, this 65 minute presentation is the most definitive, official release of the original THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE score to date. Produced by Didier C. Deutsch and Mark G. Wilder and mastered by Mark G. Wilder, this limited edition release of 2500 units features striking art design by Jim Titus and exclusive, in-depth liner notes by film music writer Jeff Bond.

SPEED: LIMITED EDITION LLLCD 1200
Music by Mark Mancina
Limited Edition of 3000 Units

La-La Land Records, in association with 20th Century Fox, is proud to present La-La Land’s 200th soundtrack release – a remastered and expanded edition of Mark Mancina’s (BAD BOYS, TWISTER, SPEED 2, MONEY TRAIN) landmark original score to the 1994 Twentieth Century Fox blockbuster action extravaganza SPEED, starring Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock, Dennis Hopper and Jeff Daniels, and directed by Jan De Bont. An inseparable component of SPEED’s success, Mancina’s full-throttle, iconic score not only punched the film’s action into overdrive, but it has served as a template for action film scoring ever since. Produced by Nick Redman and Mike Matessino and edited and mastered by Mike Matessino, this special remastered and expanded version of SPEED presents its tracks in film order, includes the end titles song, “Speed” performed by Billy Idol, and features in-depth, exclusive liner notes by film music writer John Takis. This is a limited edition of 3000 units.

JENNIFER 8: LIMITED EDITION (2-CD SET) LLLCD 1198
Music by Christopher Young and Maurice Jarre
Limited Edition of 2000 Units

La-La Land Records and Paramount Pictures presents a special 2-CD SET of two original scores to the 1992 Paramount Pictures motion picture thriller JENNIFER 8, starring Andy Garcia, Uma Thurman, and Lance Henriksen and written and directed by Bruce Robinson. Disc One features acclaimed composer Christopher Young’s (HELLRAISER, RUNAWAY JURY, THE CORE, DRAG ME TO HELL) original score – considered to be the composer’s breakthrough work in terms of scoring films for major studios. For this release, Young has re-visited his career-making score and has provided a new, magnificent 48 minute assembly – creating the ultimate presentation of his haunting and beautiful work, a melodic and atmospheric score that injects the film with suspense and human emotion. Disc Two presents renowned composer Maurice Jarre’s (LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, THE PROFESSIONALS, GHOST, A WALK IN THE CLOUDS) unused original score to the same film. Jarre scored about 75% of the film before his music was replaced with Young’s score. About 40 minutes of Jarre’s score is presented here and fans will be delighted to finally have this previously unreleased work, which is in the vein of his music for WITNESS and GHOST. In total, this release is a fascinating look at two different scoring approaches by two immensely talented composers. Produced by Dan Goldwasser and mastered by Mike Matessino, this limited edition release of 2000 Units includes in-depth, exclusive liner notes by film music writer Jeff Bond.

THE MECHANIC: LIMITED EDITION LLLCD 1191
Music by Jerry Fielding
Limited Edition of 1200 Units

La-La Land Records presents composer Jerry Fielding’s (STRAW DOGS, THE ENFORCER, THE GAUNTLET, SEMI-TOUGH) classic original action score to the legendary 1972 MGM action-thriller THE MECHANIC, starring Charles Bronson and Jan-Michael Vincent and directed by Michael Winner. An atmospheric marvel of sonic textures and experimental approaches, Fielding’s chilling score truly is the stone-cold-heart of this classic hitman/apprentice tale. Aside from perfectly capturing action and suspense, Fielding’s score gives the film a depth and resonance beyond its celluloid. Aside from some audio enhancements, a slightly different track order and new packaging and liner notes, the audio content is the same as the Intrada release, so this re-issue is geared for fans who do not currently own that previous release. Produced by Ford A. Thaxton and mastered by James Nelson, this release features in-depth, exclusive liner notes by film music writer Randall D. Larson. This is a limited edition of 1200 units.

PLANET OF THE APES: LIMITED EDITION (3-CD SET) LLLCD 1193
Music by Danny Elfman
Limited Edition of 3500 Units

La-La Land Records, 20th Century Fox and Sony Music present the remastered and expanded version of acclaimed composer Danny Elfman’s (BATMAN, BATMAN RETURNS, MARS ATTACKS!, WANTED, ALICE IN WONDERLAND) thunderous original score to Twentieth Century Fox’s 2001 blockbuster sci-fi adventure PLANET OF THE APES, starring Mark Wahlberg, Tim Roth, Helena Bonham Carter and Michael Clarke Duncan, and directed by Tim Burton. The now legendary pairing of director Tim Burton and Danny Elfman again yields an immensely creative and complex film score that melds orchestra, percussion and electronics to enrich the film’s subtext and characters, all the while propelling its large-scale action. Featuring OVER 212 MINUTES of music, this comprehensive 3-CD SET set is the definitive release of Elfman’s APES score – Discs One and Two contain the film version of the score, with source cues and alternates, while Disc Three features the original 2001 soundtrack album assembly, including the RULE THE PLANET remix by Paul Oakenfold. Produced by Nick Redman, restored by Mike Matessino and edited and mastered by Daniel Hersch at d2 Mastering, this significantly expanded limited edition release of 3500 units also features exclusive liner notes by film music writer Jeff Bond.

A WALK IN THE CLOUDS: LIMITED EDITION LLLCD 1199
Music by Maurice Jarre
Limited Edition of 2000 Units

La-La Land Records and 20th Century Fox presents the remastered and expanded release of renowned composer Maurice Jarre’s (LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, THE PROFESSIONALS, WITNESS, ENEMY MINE) sumptuously romantic score to 20th Century Fox’s 1995 post WWII-era drama A WALK IN THE CLOUDS, starring Keanu Reeves and Anthony Quinn and directed by Alfonso Arau. Composer Jarre’s lush and heartwarming orchestral score, full of sweeping and colorful themes, perfectly compliments cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki’s breathtaking imagery, while also harnessing the film’s deeply felt emotions and romantic plot, set against a post WWII Napa Valley vineyard. At 72 minutes, this expanded release nearly doubles the length of this score’s previous soundtrack releases. Produced by Nick Redman and Mike Matessino and mixed and mastered by Mike Matessino, this special limited edition release of 2000 units includes alternate cues and source music and also features exclusive liner notes by film music writer Julie Kirgo.

BATMAN FOREVER: LIMITED EDITION (2-CD SET) LLLCD 1189
Music by Elliot Goldenthal
Limited Edition of 3500 Units

Presenting the latest release in our Expanded Archival Collection, renowned composer Elliot Goldenthal’s (ALIEN 3, DEMOLITION MAN, HEAT, A TIME TO KILL) original score to the 1995 WARNER BROS. blockbuster film BATMAN FOREVER, starring Val Kilmer, Tommy Lee Jones, Jim Carrey and Nicole Kidman, directed by Joel Schumacher. Goldenthal’s robust orchestral score honors The Caped Crusader with a powerful theme that is pitch perfect whether appearing as a stalwart march or brooding character study. The rest of the score follows suit, effectively supporting the film’s array of characters and large-scale action with complex, memorable themes and motifs. This remastered release has been radically expanded, more than doubling the running time of the original 1995 score soundtrack release. (The remastered 1995 score album is presented here as well). Produced and supervised by Elliot Goldenthal, produced for La-La Land Records by Neil S. Bulk and Dan Goldwasser, and mastered by James Nelson, this 2-CD limited edition release features exclusive, in-depth liner notes from film music writer John Takis and is a must-have for any film-music enthusiast. Ordered "The Robe"

This is one of my favourite "Biblical" scores and this release sounds loads better than any of the previous releases.

Alfred Newman was on the top of his game when he wrote this.

Fabulous release, thanks La La Land.
