That Yared is a nice surprise as I had AGENT TROUBLE, etc. on the Milan CD which was very hard to come by. I can't remember how much I paid for that but it was quite a bit as it is out of print.
I wasn't even familiar with the LAI score so that is welcomed too.
this is not a rejected score. there is two movies, two adaptations of "La guerre des boutons" (yes, in the same time. a silly idea of the producers). One is by Klaus Badelt (La guerre des boutons / The war of the buttons) and this one by Philippe Rombi (La nouvelle guerre des boutons / The new war of the buttons). and no, it's not a limited release.
For our recent titles such as Eric Demarsan's "Pigalle, la Nuit" (2009) and Philippe Rombi's "La Nouvelle Guerre des Boutons" (2011), we just don't mention the quantity on back covers even though they are limited editions.
Just to inform you that our three latest CD releases (Rombi, Lai and Yared) are now in stock on our website : http://www.musicbox-records.com/en/home.html They will be available very soon in your favorite retailers.
We also inaugurate our first soundtrack available on download only : Michel Muller's new comedy, Hénaut Président composed by Michel Korb
Just heard the new Rombi score from War of the Buttons. Superb music once again from Rombi. This is the CD people should be getting. If you like soaring melodies and colorful orchestration then this is the CD for you.
