In a post that was mainly about Intrada's March 6th releases (which can be discussed in their own thread), Roger also said this about their March 20th batch:

...like the 90s live action title coming later in the month and the co-branded classic, if you want to call it that, animated score.

Source: http://www.intrada.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=4676&start=30

(It should be pointed out here that Roger previously told us that both March 20th titles are licensed from Disney)

I REALLY hope the 90's Live Action title is Horner's The Rocketeer!!!!!!!!!

The next animated entry on their co-branded line...... the optimist in me wants it to be Black Cauldron or Mulan, but the pessimist in me looks at the first 4 entries and sees that they are all re-issues of Disney scores that were available as digital downloads, makes me guess Silvestri's A Christmas Carol...

I think there is very little chance that they would release "A Christmas Carol" in March.

I'm sorry, but didn't Intrada previously say that their co-branded line would NOT include any Disney score previously issued on CD?

So no Rocketeer. No Mulan. No Black Cauldron.

Keep up fellas.

I agree with you.

Have there been any other Disney download-only releases that were for animated movies beyond Up and Toy Story 3?

Wow, you are completely wrong AND antagonistic about it. Good job!

1. No, they never said that anywhere at all.

2. The 90's Live action release is NOT part of their co-branded line (neither is next week's 70's live action release, for that matter). ONLY the animated title Roger mentioned is on their co-branded line.

In other words, 3 scores licensed from Disney are coming out from Intrada this month, but only ONE of which is coming out on the new Disney/Intrada co-branded line.

To quote you, "keep up" wink

Is Hannah Montana or something like that even a possibility? :/ I'd hate for something like that be foisted upon Intrada in exchange for things score fans are clamoring for.

Black Cauldron has only had a rerecording released on the Varese label back in the 1980s. The original score has never been released on CD. So it is possible that it could be released by Intrada.

What other live action 90's Disney films do people want to see on CD?

I know a lot of people have mentioned Basil Poledouris' The Jungle Book...

That has been seen on CD.

Reminded of Fawlty Towers again... Next on Mastermind: Maleficio, special topic: The Bleeding Obvious.

"Classic" is of course the brand Disney gives to all animated movies made by the Disney studios. A Christmas Carol isn't one of those, so that shouldn't be it. Or, I'm just reading way too much into this.

Maybe Roger didn't mean "classic" in the disney catalog, but in the popular consensus.

Roger didn't say the 90's live action title was a premiere release.

The moment of snark on "classic" - should we be looking for a score to a lowly-regarded movie?

I think that's a strong possibility, which makes The Black Cauldron fit. Makes A Christmas Carol fit too though...

Well, he said "A co-branded classic, if you want to call it that", which to me sounds like it's part of the "Classics" banner, but it's not a very good movie. The Black Cauldron fits that description, but so do many other animated movies from Disney (The Hunchback of Notre Dame? Mulan?).

As much as I love The Rocketeer, and would buy a complete version if it was released - it isn't something I am hoping for.

The original release contained quite a bit of music and really the important stuff.

I'd rather see a complete HOCUS POCUS. And I'm betting we're getting it.

Maybe it's something Disney calls a classic but is hardly old enough for a sane person to call it that?

It's time for WHITE FANG ! And since it's from the 1990s it fits the clue quite well :-)
I'm keeing my fingers crossed...
Cheers,
Uwe
