I don´t understand how this great soundtrack does not have an official release. Does anyone know if there are any problems with the royalties or any other matter not to be edited?

Agreed. I have an unofficial release. Would love to be able to PURCHASE it.
There's a whole lot more than what's on the release, btw.
One has to really give this score a listen on the score-only tracks on the DVD to appreciate the richness of it. It's one of the few scores I'd love to read an extended examination of, if I could understand it. Some great use of electronics with the orchestra.
This is probably the best score of the past 20 years that hasn't had a score-only release. The cue which goes under the name 'The Upper Hand' in some corners is my favorite 'murder music' since PSYCHO.
Howard Shore mentioned in some interview that I read with him that he wasn't too happy with how the score tracks on the soundtrack album were mastered. I'm curious about the process behind the recording of this score as well. Shore's methods are often very experimental; I notice that Lucas Richman is credited with conducting the score, and I wonder if this was so Shore could spend more time in the booth on this one (something Basil Poledouris and Jerry Goldsmith would do from time to time).

Congratulations! Yours is the 7th post in the thread.
Crazily enough I just read that interview last night. It's in an old issue of Fanfare, in Royal S. Brown's column. Shore does not say exactly what he dislikes about the mastering on the TVT album score suite. He does go into quite a bit of detail about the unusual live-mixed electronics he employed. It's fairly complicated. I suppose it's unethical to copy and paste it here. I'll reread it and see if i can do it justice in summary.
I'm not entirely convinced that the film version of Bowie's Heart's Filthy Lesson has ever been released on CD (would certainly appreciate clarification, if it has) - so I'd like to see that on any expanded CD.

Great score!
Two and a half years later - I can try to look into this for you. I have multiple versions/mixes/remixes on CD of THFL. I'll need to pull out the single and the album expansions, as well as my DVD of Se7en, and compare. I didn't know the version in Se7en wasn't the album mix.
Don't be mad at me if I'm wrong but I believe it's the 20th anniversary of SEVEN. If I'm right then it will be my single greatest accomplishment, and if you're jealous of my accomplishment then I would suggest that you hate the game and not the player. Either way, I want this release very, very badly.
Now, WHAT ELSE WILL BE RELEASED. I WANT ALL OF THEM TO ADD TO MY MASSIVE COLLECTION. I shouldn't have any problems ordering since I sit in front of a computer all day.
