I would bet good money another release of Ghostbusters and a debut release of Ghostbusters 2 happening this year to coincide with their respective anniversaries
I never said anything about LLL releasing it. Although, it would be nice.

We just passed the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters - it opened June 8th, 1984.
And we just passed the 25th anniversary of Ghostbusters II - it opened June 16th, 1989.
Hopefully this upcoming box set (?) is dropping real soon
Just wanted to throw a little kindling on this fire. Still hoping that this might be coming in the next two months, wondering if it might be LLL1350?
I still think it's possible that Varese might revisit the first one themselves, hopefully remastered with any additional cues that were missing the first time around...
I have some CD Club titles from Varese where I dont' care for the mastering at all. I don't know what they are doing. Brickwalling? Cutting off frequency ranges? Master for "the car test"? Adding filters which are harming the sound quality? Who knows. At this point I only trust LLLR or Intrada to do right by it.
With the new film releasing this past weekend and 9 months since there was any discussion in this thread, are we any closer to finally getting Edelman's score to Ghostbusters II?
