From Jeremy Moniz on FB, in the new Varese Club thread: "From what I understand, Varèse no longer controls LEVIATHAN... it’s in other hands now" I wrote back, "Where'd you get the info re: Varese no longer controlling Leviathan? Is it pretty reliable? Varese started getting perpetuity rights at some point in 1989 and Leviathan was 1989 so it's right on the cusp. I would've thought one of the other labels wouldn't released it complete by now if so (unless tapes went missing)..." And Jeremy replied, "Yes, That info came from Varèse directly. They recently made a post celebrating water based films and I made a comment that they forgot to include LEVIATHAN. Their reply stated LEVIATHAN was in other hands now." Yavar

Please Get Terminal Velocity off this list, so Intrada can gladly Expand it! :-) Happy to see the "October surprise" of Hollow Man with Intrada

Removed The Vanishing from the list, it should have never been on there. Seems like a candidate for LLL's Goldsmith at 20th line

Firece Creatures was already more than its film cut. Its mostly complete on the OST. Goldsmith wrote and recorded an extra ten minutes of music or so for FIERCE CREATURES just for the soundtrack release, so it’s literally an expanded film score.

Sorry but you’re both wrong. I used to think that too but Gergely Hubai corrected me (as a hobby he makes isolated score tracks for all the Goldsmith he can): essentially the Fierce Creatures album is similar to something like Williams’s original albums for ET or Jane Eyre: half of the cues are new extended album arrangements of themes and film cues, while the other half are actual film cues. BUT what most people don’t realize is that quite a few Fierce Creatures cues’ *original film versions* are completely unreleased! A Deluxe Edition, with both the unique album program and the premiere of the full film score in chronological order is still very much needed IMO. Might only be 8-10 minutes of unreleased material but that’s a significant percentage for a score of this length, and it’s more unreleased music than some other Varese-controlled Goldsmith scores, like Malice for example… Yavar

Goldsmith wrote and recorded an extra ten minutes of music or so for FIERCE CREATURES just for the soundtrack release, so it’s literally an expanded film score. I think Yavar is right, Nicolai, but to be fair to you, that's not only been the well known, official story, forever, but Goldsmith told me that exact thing himself while autographing the CD cover for me in Detroit. That's how he remembered it, but memory only is what it is, not as wholly unreliable as some make it out to be, but always open to correction. The film itself and the documentation suggest unheard treasures, and what a score to have those! Love Field was a great expansion due to a similar set of musical mix-ups with the original release (and film), but other things sound like Love Field. Fierce Creatures is one of Jerry's more singular works, and an album I play to death every now and then.

Heck, it’s also what Robert Townson himself told me in our epic 3 hour conversation in 2019! But Gergely is actually matching cues to film and 100% confirms that the film versions of many cues are unreleased. He can’t make an isolated score track with any amount of editing the current album. Yavar
