I'm sure I had seen somewhere here, some people were asking for this score?
I have been searching for it and after seeing the message board of soundtrackcollector.com that some people emailed the composer and got the cd, I went to his site, and saw there is a buing cd option for it!!
Wow, i would have never thought of that..

smile

(I'm not sure thought if it comes with covers and such, like an official release)

This soundtrack is superb and it's fantastic that Nic's indeed offering it on his website. *thumbs up*

Still is would be even more fantastic, if this score would finally get an official release as well - with proper artwork, liner notes and even a few Bonus Tracks with more source cues, etc. ... *sigh*

La-La-Land, Intrada, Kritzerland where are you? wink

I love this score and use The George C Scott version of "A Christmas Carol" when I teach the novel to my 7th Graders. Could someone post a link to the Nick Bicat website so I can order a copy? Thanks so much for sharing this information. I'm thrilled to be able to get this
score. It's excellent!!!

Wow! That's awesome news indeed. This is one of my grails, so I will definitely have to get over to his site soon and order it. I emailed him once, not to ask for a copy but just to offer my appreciation for it, but never heard back. Thanks for the heads up. smile

I like his score to Stealing Heaven (1988), one of his few CD releases.

This one was good too:

I totally agree sir !
Last year I bought the (copy) cd straight from the composer and in my humble opinion it's
the best Christmas score from the last decade.

The last decade? It's from 1984. big grin

Hard to believe this movie is closing in on its 30th anniversary already. Watching it every Christmas Eve has been a staple in my life for over twenty years now. I think it's the best adaptation of Dickens' story.

I loved it too when I was young, I haven't seen it since but I'm going to.
I also haven't seen Scrooge (the musical with Albert Finney) and have seen many good critics.
It was out in bluray very recently.

Sorry I made a mistake and now looking at the cd it's indeed from 1984 !!
The artwork is simple but tastful (homemade) and the cd comes in a plastic sleeve.
Also included are the lyrics from the track : God Bless Us Everyone

So finally this masterpiece gets his deserved award. A official release by Quartet Records.
Gratulations to Nick Bicat and I still have after all these years his homemade CD.
