Incredible -- I am big fan of Elfman's REAL STEEL and also Toshiyuji Watanabe's SPACE BROTHERS, but somehow never made the connection until stumbling on this thread today.
I'm quite the fan of the REAL STEEL score (played it 24/7 the week after I first saw the movie back in 2011).... however, it's never yet been pointed out here as far as I am aware, so....
I give to you Toshiyuki Watanabe's SPACE BROTHERS theme, in which he was clearly inspired by Elfman's theme (likely from the temp?).
I'm a huge fan of the SB anime so it was immediately noticeable to me upon first viewing the series.
Wow, I really like those samples of Space Brothers. Can anybody help me: which CD are those on? What is the best music to start with in the series...? Help is very appreciated. Thank you.

There's music from it up on SoundCloud. I'm not sure exactly what's there entirely? But that album does feature those two tracks. I'm assuming it's from a CD of some sort as the music from the series is extremely hard to find otherwise (even digitally/YouTube etc) especially if you're trying to find everything released.
I've still never seen the actual movie, but every single time I listed to the "Final Round" track, as I just did today, it never fails to be an emotional, invigorating and tear-filled experience. This track, along with Goldsmith's "Final Game" from RUDY, should be used more often for montages that need a real emotional lift!
Film is very enjoyable. Silly and daft, but great entertainment. The score? Well, as I've banged on about it time and again in this thread. I FKN LOVE IT.
