Music by Basil Poledouris
Limited Edition of 1200 Units

This unique score in Mr. Poledouris’ cannon, (his only true supernatural horror genre score), showcases the composer’s skill in crafting chilling, yet lush electronic soundscapes. His experimental music adeptly keys in on mood and technique over melody, giving this cult film layers of suspense and eroticism it wouldn’t otherwise have. Produced by Ford A. Thaxton and mastered by James Nelson, this special limited edition release features exclusive, in-depth liner notes by film music writer Randall D. Larson, which include comments from the film’s score mixer, Tim Boyle and director Janet Greek. This is a limited edition of 1200 units.

Mr. Newman’s gorgeous orchestral composition whisks the listener away on a delightful European romance. The title song performed by the incomparable Johnny Mathis is the icing on this velvety-rich cake. Disc One contains the expanded original film score, restored from 35mm film elements uncovered at Fox, while Disc Two showcases the LP presentation, remastered from the original 1/2 inch tapes stored at Sony Music. Produced by Nick Redman (Disc 1) and Didier C. Deutsch and Mark G. Wilder (Disc 2), and mastered by Daniel Hersch (Disc 1) and Mark G. Wilder (Disc 2), this special release features exclusive liner notes by film music writer Julie Kirgo. This is a limited edition of 2500 units.

THE GOLDEN CHILD: LIMITED EDITION (3-CD SET) LLLCD 1180
Music Composed and Conducted by John Barry
Music Score by Michel Colombier
Limited Edition of 5000 Units

La-La Land Records presents, in association with Paramount Pictures and Capitol Records, the premiere release of both John Barry’s unused score and Michel Colombier’s score to the 1986 Paramount Pictures action/adventure motion picture THE GOLDEN CHILD, starring Eddie Murphy, Charlotte Lewis, Charles Dance and directed by Michael Ritchie. Mr. Barry’s (FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE, BODY HEAT, A VIEW TO A KILL, DANCES WITH WOLVES) unused orchestral score is simply put, wondrous -- a powerful, majestic work brimming with action, suspense and romance that strongly recalls the recently departed composer’s 80s Bond period while still retaining its own robust identity. Composer Michel Colombier’s (RUTHLESS PEOPLE, THE MONEY PIT, AGAINST ALL ODDS) score, only a portion of which has been previously released, is finally given its proper due here as well, showcasing the composer’s knack for traditional action scoring blended with the era’s contemporary, synth-based pop sound. Produced by Lukas Kendall and mastered by Mike Matessino, this comprehensive 3-Disc collection of music contains additional unreleased Barry cues, including the unused song “Dance A Little Closer” performed by none other than Randy Edelman! Along with Barry’s “Best Man In The World,” performed by Ann Wilson of Heart fame, all songs featured on the original 1986 soundtrack album are presented here, including tracks from such artists as Ratt, Ashford & Simpson, Meli’sa Morgan and others. Film music writer Jon Burlingame takes you behind the film’s duo of scores in his exclusive liner notes. A must for film music fans, this limited edition release of 5000 units showcases the work of two brilliant composers who remain with us through the timelessness of their talent.

Goldsmith’s full-throated western score to this lively female-driven adventure was his last in the genre and a fine example of his expertise within that realm. Produced by Nick Redman and mastered by Daniel Hirsch at D2 Mastering, this special remastered and expanded release includes more than 20 minutes of previously unreleased music and features in-depth liner notes from film music writer Jeff Bond, with new comments from director Jonathan Kaplan. This is a limited edition release of 3000 units.

Jones’ lush, complex orchestral score is as breathtakingly beautiful as it is haunting and terrifying – an early, but notable work in the acclaimed composer’s cannon. Produced by Dan Goldwasser and mastered by Mike Matessino, this special release features in-depth liner notes by film music writer John Takis. This is a limited edition of 1500 units.

My card has never been charged until the order actually ships out, going from my experience with LLL. They're one of the best.
