I think Highlander is the one Robin is working with releasing as his 80´s grale score during 2013.
He said something about it continues to expand etc and I think he will put out a massive thing with both Kamens and Queens music , and hell, he may even gotten ahold of J.P Robinsons score to the third (and Copelands to The Quickening?)

I BELIEVE... smile

Oh sweet almighty! What I wouldn't give for a full-scale release of music from Highlander!

I'm trying to find the majority of the score online. I'll post a cue list as soon as I can (There will be edity bits) There is a release available on Amazon for 20 Pounds. I'm not sure whether it is official though.

There has been no official release of this score other than the 20 mins on Edel

A great score that does deserve a proper release.

Does anyone know anything about the proposed Warner Chappell release, that supposedly involved the manufacture of a certain amount of units but was never officially released? (I suppose I could just use Google, but I prefer to chat about it).

Well its a new year so probably time for me to have a gripe about still no HIGHLANDER release. This is a slightly different question though.
Everything seems to say in the past that there is no release due to the complicated rights issue. If that's true how come you can have things like the ‘Highlander suite’ on the Perseverance ‘Forsaken themes’ release? Is it okay to release re-recordings but not the actual original versions?

Performance rights are very different from recording rights, basically. It's a lot easier to get the rights to make a new recording of something as opposed to releasing a specific recording of it.

Ah, okay…interesting. Ironically even if there was a new complete re-recording i wouldn’t be that over the moon as i can’t quite connect with film music re-recording the same as i can with classical music. Not sure why but every little difference in a re-recording of something i love just makes me grimace.
The couple of suites that are out there are okay but usually have the same bits. Doubt there’s going to be a ‘Battle on the Silvercup sign’ section coming up in any of these.

This one as of late is my holiest of holy grails that would be a welcome purchase as a complete score set smile
