With the release of THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE BELL AND A STEP OUT OF LINE from 1970 & 71,

wondering if PURSUIT 1972 could be in the works?

Other Goldsmith TV Movies from that early 70's period yet to be released are INDICT AND CONVICT and DO NOT FOLD, SPINDLE AND MUTILATE.

Would love to have these scores on CD.

Here's the End Title Cue from PURSUIT from the 4 Disc Goldsmith Compilaiton:

It's very very close to the counter piano theme in Goldsmith's End title of THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE BELL:

I was under the impression the tapes for Pursuit are, unfortunately, lost. I'd love to be proven wrong though... (Just as I'd love for The Waltons tapes to turn up frown)

I thought I'd resurrect this discussion, in the hope that perhaps some industry professionals might have come up with more information about Goldsmith's TV work in the 70's, and what might still exist. Additional titles to wonder about include The Man, Prudence and the Chief (pilot), Lights Out (pilot), The Best of Times (pilot), Archer (series), Medical Story (series), and Dusty (1983). Do Not Fold, Spindle, or Mutilate in particular would have made a good companion piece to A Step Out of Line, with it's unique Goldsmithian abstract Jazz. Pursuit is the big one, of course, but I gather that's been declared officially AWOL. I know nobody wants to make such declarations in a definitive way - you never know what might turn up - but has there been investigation into any of these titles?

Just thought I'd chime in to say that I am of course also wondering about any/all of these.

Perhaps the answer is that no more unreleased Goldsmith TV movie scores survive...in which case we are only left with the small hope that James Fitzpatrick may record them for his own Tadlow label or Prometheus. He did do an amazing complete QB VII, after all, which was a TV movie (miniseries sorta) score...
