I've been on a bit of a nostalgia trip this week and revisited films from my youth (Interview w/t Vampire and Natural Born Killers to name a few) and last night I decided to watch Scream.

I hadn't seen it in years and must say, almost 20 years later, the film still works! The opening scene is really one of the best opening scenes of a horror film and the film really is perfectly paced, there's not a dull moment.

And then there's the score. Beltrami really elavates the movie to an higher level. This really is one of Beltrami's masterpieces. The action tracks are all great, but I also love a few of the smaller scenes, like "Sherriff and Dewey" and the scene where Dewey asks for Gale to go on a walk with him (sadly not on the CD).

Here's hoping Scream 2 is in the upcoming Club batch

Is this your guess or a piece of knowledge, please?

2 and 3 deserve expansions so badly.

They really, really, really do. If it weren't for the relatively slow sellout of Scream: The Deluxe Edition maybe they would be closer to a reality. Of all previously released Beltrami scores, Scream 2 and Scream 3 are my most wanted. The Invisible is my most wanted unreleased MB score.

Box set would be amazing; Scream: Deluxe Edition reissue along with premiere Deluxe editions of Scream 2 and Scream 3. A Deluxe edition of Scream 4 would be nice and would round out the box set, but it is nowhere near as essential or in need of an expansion as parts 2 and 3.

Thanks. I would love such a release, feat. Elfman's short piece, Cassandra Aria. Maybe that's this piece which explain such a reissue is still in the limbo?

they don't have to include it in case it causes any difficulties... there is still a ton of EXCELLENT music to fill whole CD smile

SCREAM 2 is definitely at the top of my wishlist together with HELLBOY, which desperately needs imrpovement not only in its content but also sound quality.
I wouldn't mind I, ROBOT either... and of course BLADE 2 needs expansion too... FLIGHT OF THE PHOENIX also had a ton of great music to offer, but that album is just fantastic and works brilliantly the way it is... although I am sure in expanded version that one would be still a revelation for many people... Ditto T3.

Speaking of premieres there is a ton of possibilities not only THE INVISIBLE (only Intrada can do at the moment), but also CURSED, REPO MEN, XXX 2 or some earlier TV and smaller movies such as ANGEL EYES, HIGHWAY 395, WALKING ACROSS EGYPT, TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE or Emmy nominated DAVID AND LISA.

That's too bad, hopefully in another batch then... Or is it ruled out, cause the first one took some time to sell out?
