I think that Riddle, Elfman, Goldenthal, Walker, and Zimmer/Howard have all written appropriate (and excellent) music for the Bat-projects they've worked on.

I don't understand what you have against me, but I hope you are enjoying yourself.

I would appreciate it if you'd edit your post, but I understand there is a 0% chance of that happening.

It's not you, I just don't understand the point of exclusivity on the internet.

As the forum administrator of JWFan, I am always doing whatever I can to draw traffic to our site and hopefully gain new members. I broke this track list to the internet; No one else had it before I posted it. I have always believed in giving credit where credit is due.

Hey, fun, I edited the post and THEN read you asking me to do it! That worked out well for everyone!

Imagine the shock and horror a Zimmer/JNH/Batman fan might have discovering JWFan, where the last two BATMAN scores, perhaps even all of them, have been torn a new one. A tracklist might not be enough to grow your numbers.

I considered including a note about Hans Zimmer news being exclusivized on a John Williams fan page, but couldn't get my "That's like going into a Dairy Queen and ordering a salad" comparison down. It's actually more like "That's like going into......The...Salad Store while you're eating McDonald's fries." See? That's why I left it out.

I thought JNH made some wonderful contributions to BATMAN BEGINS, and kind of provided the soul of the score. THE DARK KNIGHT sounded like Hans was more in control, but all the material for Harvey Dent (which I understand to be JNH) was interesting and evolved throughout the picture in a way that HZ's music typically doesn't (and didn't).

Does anyone have a playlist of JNH's contributions to the first two films in the series? I'm seeing him tomorrow in concert and I'm gearing myself up for it. Thanks!

I know this was 2012, but this was still terrible news to wake up to this morning.

DKR was the best score of the trilogy and one of Zimmer's finest achievements.

No beef. I like Zimmer's The Dark Knight Rises (wouldn't go so far as to call it one of his finest achievements, but I certainly like it).

That doesn't change how shocked and disappointed I was to learn JNH had been dropped from the final entry of the trilogy. I still don't understand the decision. He had contributed incredible material to the first two films. The only explanation I recall hearing about it was something to the effect that JNH felt like a third wheel after Nolan and Zimmer had gone and done Inception together.
